Le Relais is a new weekly music evening curated by singer-songwriter Jules Maxwell, bringing together song, storytelling and community in YALM’s intimate Private Dining Room.

Each Thursday, Jules welcomes special guests to join him for an ever-changing night of original music, conversation and creativity.

ABOUT THE CONCEPT

The idea for Le Relais was born in 2015, when Jules and his wife Charlotte Darbyshire ran a small performance café called Le Relais de la Baie in Noyelles-sur-Mer, Northern France. The name “relais”comes from the old French “relaissier” — to release, to let go. Historically, a relais was a stopping place where travellers exchanged tired horses for fresh ones — a moment of rest and renewal before continuing the journey.

That same spirit of renewal lies at the heart of Le Relais at YALM — a space to slow down, connect, and rediscover the joy of intimate live music.
