Born from a chance meeting at a folk session in 2018, their musical partnership quickly became a viral sensation during lockdown, bringing their dynamic performances to audiences around the world.
Drawing from English and Scottish folk traditions with influences from blues, gypsy jazz and global folk styles, Will and Jenn weave performances that feel alive, spontaneous and utterly captivating. On stage they engage in a playful musical cat and mouse — improvising and responding to one another in the moment, showcasing extraordinary instrumental skill and creative conversation through sound.
Will Pound is one of the most acclaimed harmonica and melodeon players of his generation, known for pushing the boundaries of his instruments with breathtaking virtuosity and deep traditional grounding. Jenn Butterworth is a sought-after guitarist and singer — awarded Musician of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards and nominated for a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award — renowned for her rhythmic drive, expressive playing and work with acclaimed ensembles like Kinnaris Quintet.
